Morricone worked as an orchestrator for composer Mario Nascimbene on Death of a Friend [Morte di un amico] (1960) and director Richard Fleischer’s Biblical epic Barabbas (1961), which also includes moments of “Heavenly Chorus.”

Morricone also contributed music to the film The Bible: In the Beginning . . . (1966) but was not credited.

“Director Sergio Sollima said on the DVD extras [for Run, Man, Run] that it was in fact Ennio Morricone that scored the music for the film. Sergio Sollima said Morricone’s conductor Bruno Nicolai got the credit probably because Morricone was tied up at another studio at the time and didn't want any trouble.”
